Target audience: The wealthier half of Americans that have some guilt associated with climate change or poverty.
If everyone on the planet consumed as many resources as the average person in the US, we would need more than four earths.[1][2] Imagine if we cut out some of the worst waste in our lives to cut our share resource consumption down to two earths.
My proposal is that we change six lifestyle habits in the next twelve months to be healthier both mentally and physically. These habits also cut our resource consumption in half measured in both dollars and tons of atmospheric CO2 released. Simultaneously we'll cut our expenses in half, and keep our income the same. Then the money we are currently wasting we'll put to good use to become financially secure and then financially independent faster than most people can imagine. Then with our extra time and money resources we'll build a better world starting with the people in greatest need.
Higher quality of life, less consumption, better world for everyone. Continue if this seems like a reasonable proposal.
